“Digital Counselling – using online tools for outreach work and information of guidance seekers”
With the Covid 19 pandemic, counselling via digital media has received an enormous boost. Many people were advised via WhatsApp or other services because it was not possible to have face-to-face encounters. But even before that, the question arose, especially in the area of migration counselling: where do people who, for example, take up work in another country within the framework of EU freedom of movement, get information? Many look for it on the internet. This also opens up a new field for social counselling work if it wants to reach its target groups and provide them with sound information.
In this workshop we would like to present examples of good practice from Germany and Bulgaria and discuss which opportunities, but also which risks arise from this for counselling work.
The information from the workshop and the opportunity for networking may be useful for the work of those of you who support mobile persons seeking counselling in and from Bulgaria.
Similar to the first workshop, we will work with a mixture of inputs and discussion groups to share German and Bulgarian experiences.
The Project: TSS aims to promote networking and exchange between social workers from Bulgaria and Germany. The project is jointly implemented by Diakonie Hamburg and the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany and the partner organisations Bulgarian-Romanian Institute for Cross-Border Mediation and the Institute of Demography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Bulgaria.
Online event: You can participate online via a link we will provide shortly before the event. The event is in Bulgarian with simultaneous German translation.
Programme: а mixture of inputs and discussion groups to work on the questions form German and Bulgarian.
